I’m Ioanna. I combine research, systems thinking and hands-on design to make enterprise workflows easier to understand and use.
With 20+ years of design experience, I’ve worked across enterprise B2B software, banking, fintech and digital services. My background in product and systems design engineering shapes how I approach problems: understand the whole system, then make the next step clear.
I work from early problem definition and customer research through interaction design, detailed UI and working prototypes. I’m particularly interested in AI experiences that reduce manual work while keeping people informed and in control.
At HICX and State of Flux, I designed for procurement teams and suppliers: onboarding, supplier information, performance, data quality and operational workflows. The challenge was making information-dense products usable without losing the detail enterprise teams need.
At HICX, I explored conversational interactions, document-driven data extraction and automation. I also shaped a 12-month UX vision around reducing manual work and making AI-generated information understandable, reviewable and distinguishable from user-provided data.
I led customer research and usability testing at HICX, including sessions with Sonova and Baker Hughes. These conversations helped uncover workflow friction, validate concepts and inform product decisions alongside Product, Engineering and Customer Success.
As a freelance UX and Product Design Consultant & Mentor at helvia.ai, I advised on design decisions and opportunities to improve the user experience across Helvia’s products. I also mentored the design team, providing feedback and guidance on their work and approach to product challenges.
My work includes Piraeus Bank’s internal CRM for bank employees, fintech experiences, and two-sided marketplaces at Douleutaras and Nannuka. Across these products, I designed for people with different goals, responsibilities and levels of expertise.
Most of my projects are private because they involve sensitive company information and confidential designs.
